Greek Shield Isopods are from the Porcellio genus. They are dark grey with white skirts and are very flat. They look as if they are becoming one with the charcoal. Greek Shields like it very dry and spend about 95% of their time on the charcoal. These special ispods only mate in certain seasons, the seasons in which this happens is unknown, however they don't have as many offspring as their siblings in the Porcellio genus.

Porcellio Werneri Isopods were discovered by scientist Stouhal in 1929. They are native to Greece so these Bbs like it dry. We recommend that their enclosure only be about 25% wet. Normal temperatures stay around 70-80 degrees. They are used to a lot of calcium from their natural environment from silt to sand to limestone. These naturally occurring rocks are a culmination of calcium for these isopods, so naturally, we want to try to recreate that!
